Unresponsive screen

My screen will not recognize my finger! its unresponsive.

I need help

Ive done battery pull and restores.

It boots up normally but it's non-responsive to touch? Were you doing anything like flashing a ROM or whatnot? What model is it?

Yes, I go to swipe the unlock button, but it never unlocks because its not seeing my finger or whatever.

Its the D1. Rooted. CM6.

I was not flashing any roms or anything...

When you say restore are you saying Factory Data Reset?

I'd say you probably have a dud screen and it'll have to go back/in for insurance. You could try some things, like flashing SBF files, but those will not fix hardware faults.

Yes I think its just old and a hardware malfunction.
But I do not have insurance so I guess this means a new phone?

At full retail unless you can get an early upgrade or can upgrade another line on a family plan -- but then you'll be paying $30 a month for the data on the original line anyway.

Look on Craig's list, eBay, etc, and see if you can nab a used one for less.
