I'm trying to unroot my phone because I want to sell it stock. I found a guide and followed it. I used root check app and it said I didn't have root access, but I can still use superuser app. I am just wondering if I am actually unrooted or not.

You will need to ODIN back to DJ05 or DL09 stock build....have you used ODIN before

Here are instructions for using Odin. Any of the files Tapout linked should work for you. Be sure to disable Voodoo lagfix first.

Ok even if all I did was root it using the newb guide on on the main page I still need to do that?

Yeah that will take it back to stock like the day you got it. It's not too painful a procedure.
