Update Status Bar To Remove Mail Icon when POP Account is synced

Is there any way to get the mail icons in the status to update when the mail has been cleared on another device and cleared? I am using POP email accounts and this used to be possible with K9. I had to switch away from K9 as they no longer supported my Microsoft Office account. I am currently using the Samsung Mail client but I also purchased Mail Droid Pro. I am have six POP accounts on my phone and I am tired of seeing all of the mail icons when the box is clear. It seems the icons should disappear when the sever is checked and no mail is found.
