Updating Firmware

So i have a rooted TB. Rooted the original OS when i got the phone back in April.

Recently i've been seeing the device downling "Firmware" update. Is this something that i should stop from downloading? or is this different than the software updates.

If it's something that i should allow to download/install, how will that affect my rooted status.

is there a prefered rooted update that i should have installed?

yeah man dont install anything thats ota anymore. theres updates you can find around here for rooted users

does the phone prompt you to install after it downloads or does it automatically install the new software?

Its automatic... Do not install OTA updates on your rooted phone... That's a good way to destroy your rooted expensive phone! If you need to update look through your devs area and get it done that way
