I've been a "dumb" phone user forever (current phone is a Motorola W385) but have also become a student again recently and am relying heavily on Google tools such as Calendar to organize my life. The Driod is a dream come true for me. No more calendar in phone, calendar on computer, and paper planner to keep track of! Plus it's on Verizon's awesome network. (I've been a Verizon user since I first got a cell phone, ~8 years ago.) My new-every-two is available on the 18th but since I'm traveling I'll have to wait until the 20th or 21st to get the phone. I'm really excited!

Call them now and see if they won't let you upgrade a little early. You might be surprised.
