upgrade question

I recently used my girlfriend's upgrade to get my s3 knowing that the line would lose its unlimited data plan. But seeing as she doesn't use near 2 gb it was fine. Then I noticed they changed my data plan to 2 gb and left hers with unlimited. Is this normal practice when you transfer an upgrade or should I be able to have this switched back by talking to a service rep

Yes. Because you use her eligible upgrade on your line, it effects your line, not hers.

You shouldn't have transferred the upgrade. You should have had her upgrade and then give the phone to you and she re activates her old phone on her line. Transferring the upgrade won't save your unlimited. Transferring phones, however, will.

Let her take your number and u take hers and you'll be on unlimited
This is pretty much the only way you can get your unlimited data back. Though it might just be more headache (letting all contacts know # change) than it's worth.

this.

But too late now:D

I have heard of plans being changed back within 24hrs, but that was awhile back before they really started getting into their mission of eliminating unlimited data plan
