Upgraded my Droid to 2.1 using zip, but how do make it a hotspot

Also, how do I used some apps I bought in the droid market on my computer?

Standard 2.1 is not able to provide a hotspot. You will have to wait for 2.2 unless you decide to hack your phone with a custom root access enabled version of 2.1.
