Usb flash drive to Droid X

This may be a silly question, could be in the wrong section, and may have been posed before, but I'm wondering if there is a way to connect a usb flash drive directly to my droid.

Example--Let's say I have file on a standard usb flash drive I carry around with me that I would like to transfer to my droid, but I am nowhere near a computer to tether with the standard usb/charging cable, I would like to transfer a file (let's say a word file or mp3) directly to my phone's sd or internal storage. Is this possible, and if so, is there an accessory that would allow such a thing to happen?

No. The X can't support usb hosting.
