USB functions

Can anyone tell me how to Change or access my Droid X's USB settings to memory management mode? I see that in the instructions, but I can't figure it out.

Right now I'm having a pretty strong learning adjustment coming from my BB. I want to know if there is a link or anything for explaining all of the USB functions with this thing. How do I just set it up to charge? How do I easily move files back and forth? What all can you do with the USB cord? I feel like there are so many options I'm getting overwhelmed. Thanks in advance.

I think what you're looking for is found in the notification bar. Swipe the top of the screen down. You should have an entry called "USB Connection". Click it and you should be able to change how the USB connection is managed.

I'm not seeing anything like that. It just says no notifications.

Double check that your computer has picked up that a USB devices is plugged in. Sometimes my laptop doesn't. When I plug my DX in, there is a USB icon in the upper left of the notification bar, and the USB Connection entry in the notifications. That's the only way I can see how to manage the connection.

Well, I did get it to recognize now, so I can move stuff around, but how do you get it to charge? does it just automatically?

apparently so! I guess it wasn't recognizing the phone before.

cool! It should charge automatically. You can go to your settings and I think "About Phone" and it will give you battery status.
