USB to PC connection

Even though I had done this before I am unable to connect my Droid to my PC. I get an unknown device in the computer management window. I tried to delete it to force a new driver install with no luck.
I also have Moto Phone Portal which worked great a few times but now errors when I clikc on the 'File Manager' that "Documents in this folder are not available. The folder may have been moved ..."

A fix for either would be great I am unable to copy any files to or from my Droid.

Have you tried a different PC?

I have a printer that used to work with my linux, WinXP and Win7 PCs. For some reason the WInXP PC will no longer work with it, but the others still do.

Any other idea's? Something is very strange that not only the USb connect doesn't work but also the Moto Phone portal does not work.

I am having a similar problem, my Motoconnect icon pops up when I plug the Droid in but there are no options on what program to launch, i.e. Moto Phone Portal
