Use for OG Droid with no service

So, once I upgrade from the OG Droid, and service is shut off on it, I can still use it on my WIFI as a little media device. Right? Or am I missing something in that line of thinking? I would still be able to use installed apps right? What about the market?

Yes.

Anything that doesn't require service from your carrier. Messaging, for one example, won't be of any use.

What about the market?

You can use it as well.
