OK I just recently upgraded to 8gb card and went thru the crap of formatiing and adding my files to it. Problem is that my pics are everywhere, my gallery completely changed on the start screen part, lost some pics and cant open alot of pics that now say "shortcut". the files on my older card are the same way since i rooted and added astro, now Im not saying astro stinks but why all the duplicates and how the heck do i customize it so a retard like me can use it.

If homescreen shortcuts were pointed to former SD card, you have to set them up again.
Following the breadcrumbs along the top of the Astro screen help to see where you are.

Since you are rooted I suggest using Root Explorer. It is a paid app but well worth the few dollars. It offers a lot more that Astro for those with rooted phones.
