Using other chargers

I have the Droid and my wife has the Envy3. Both use the mini USB thingy to charge. We travel together a lot and I was wondering if both phones can use the same charger rather than lugging around two car and two regular chargers.

As stated by countless threads. Yes u can use the micro usb from any phone. It. Is the new standard. Even iphone agreed to micro usb

I have used other charger on the Droid, but when i use a "non droid" charger... my screen goes all funny and doesnt recognize any of my touch responses.

What is the Droid charger? It is a micro usb cable plain and simple

Chargers have different power ratings which may be causing the Droid to act weird
