Good news! It looks like the LG G4 could shortly be launching on Verizon and Sprint here in the US as the devices have already passed through the FCC.

Two smartphones carrying model number ‘VS986′ and ‘LS991′ were just certified by the FCC. The FCC listing doesn’t exactly mention the device itself, but considering that the ‘VS985′ was Verizon’s variant of the G3, and ‘LS990′ was Sprint’s variant of that very same device last year, it’s quite obvious that we’re looking at the G4 this time around.

Like its predecessor, the G4 sports a 5.5-inch LCD display. The quad-HD touchscreen is razor-sharp, with graphics, images, text and movies appearing incredibly crisp. It has a 2,560x1,440-pixel resolution and 534 pixels per inch. Powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 808 64-bit hexa-core SoC which also ships with an Adreno 418 GPU. The 16-megapixel OIS shooter is located on the back and an 8-megapixel snapper is available up front. The G4 comes with a 3,000mAh removable battery and Android 5.1 Lollipop.
