Verizon cancellation question

HTC1

Member
if i cancel all my lines with verizon and have etf's do they temporary block the current esn's or every esn ever on those lines. i switch phones often and have sold a lot. i figured it would only be the current one but not sure

Only time I am aware of where they block ESNs is if the phones are reported stolen, so I'm going to say no. If you have outstanding balances, they will take you through the collections process.

If you owe them money, they blacklist the esn from what I've been told.idk

As far as the ins and out.. idk. But once a device is activated on another account, that esn is safe.

Yes, if the phone is still listed on the line then that esn can not be activated on another line. For example; My RAZR Maxx is activated on my phone number. The only way I could sell my Razr Maxx with a clean esn is if I activate another smartphone on my line or wait until my contract expires. That would then free up my Razr.
