Verizon Droid X to Metro PCS

Folks,

Sorry if this is a repost! I am too excited about my new Verizon Droid X phone and want to get a Metro PCS connection on it.

My friend gifted me a Verizon Droid X phone which is not active, now I found Metro PCS to be economical enough as a Service Provider.

Now, when i switch ON my phone, i get a screen which says ACTIVATE......

My question is how do i get this phone activated on a Metro PCS account.

I am a Noob when it comes to mobiles...please detail if you can..

Now go look over on Howard Forums for a flashing guide to get it on Metro PCS. We don't do things like that here as it's we mostly handle Verizon phones.
