It looks like VZW just had a decent price drop on the Motorola Droid RAZR Maxx. You can pick up the phone through Big Red for $199.99. Click on the source link below for more info.

Thanks for the tip, justin82!

I don't like the thickness of the RAZR maxx.

Hopefully the fighter will be a bit thinner

Uh its got a 3000mAh battery stuffed in there. Its pretty slim for having that monster in there.

Just give it ics already! Hopefully we get some info on the fighter soon.

The thing that scares me about the fighter is the size. If its too big Id prefer the maxx, so long as it has ics by then.

Possibly talking out my backside here, but could this also be a sales tactic for Verizon to encourage more sales while the company is seemingly holding in limbo (ie no upgrades till summer-fall, and I'm not aware of many [confirmed] phones on the release horizon excluding the SGS3 of course)? It also seems like Moto may not be releasing much if anything until this spiel between Google/Moto and China gets settled. These do seem to be quiet times for Verizon customers.
Any thoughts?
