It turns out the Verizon LG G Vista is not a variation of the G3. New intel claims the device will be launching on Big Red tomorrow. The source of this info also shared the specs of the device, which firmly plant it in a strange mid-range phablet category. Here are the rumored specs,
  • 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400
  • 5.7-inch 1280 x 720 display
  • 1.5GB of RAM
  • 3,200mAh battery
  • 8 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and laser-assisted autofocus
  • 8GB of internal storage w/ microSD
  • Android 4.4 KitKat
Besides the included rear-facing buttons and a few other features (like KnockOn, KnockCode, and the extreme battery saving mode), this phone bears little resemblance to the G3. More than likely the device will be priced at $499.99 off contract, or $99 with a two-year agreement.

This device might be fine for the general consumer looking for a less expensive phablet sized phone, but the hardcore enthusiast will likely glaze over this one.

Thanks to KK the 8GB of internal could be a major problem for owners, regardless of how large an external card it'll hold.
