Updated: The map we had before was an older version. This one I just added is a more up to date version.

It looks like Verizon's LTE roll out is proceeding steadily. They just announced a slew of new markets in California that will get the high-speed service now. Here's a list of those new areas for you:
  • Fresno
  • Sacramento
  • San Francisco Bay Area
  • Modesto
  • Salinas and Monterey
  • Stockton
  • San Luis Obispo
  • Bakersfield
  • And introducing Visalia

For more info on new markets for VZW LTE you can go here: LTE Information Center.

Huh? That map shows almost all of Michigan as red. I can tell you for a fact that there are big parts of Michigan without 4G.

They just turned 4G on in the York, PA area this week as well. But it switches back to 3G about 2 blocks from my office. Son of a....

Um, Modesto, CA was supposed to be turned on last November. My wife's Thunderbolt has been getting 4G signal since then. The speeds have been terrible though. Does this mean she'll finally get the 4G speeds or are they just making the area larger around the original 4G towers?

Nevermind, followed a few links and they are making the area bigger. Guess the crappy speeds will stay. Never gotten more than 4-5MB anywhere in Modesto.

So all of California's Dairy Ranches and Almond Farms now have 4g ? Those Californian Cows should be extra happy now!

They don't update their map, who knows why. Several cities and towns in NH have had 4G for the past several months but their coverage map still doesn't reflect it.
