Verizon LTE Not Capable With AT&T LTE Phones

Many thought since Verizon and AT&T’s LTE network run on the same frequencies, you could switch phones around –Wrong. A recent statement by Verizon’s Brenda Raney confirmed to PCMag on Friday that the network while both running on 700 MHz frequencies will run on different sections of it. AT&T will function within the 704-746MHz bands while Verizon’s 4G LTE will exploit the 746-787MHz frequencies. This means phones will not work on both network at once. He went on to say that Verizon will still route some calls through their CDMA network while AT&T will do it to their GSM network, which makes a one-fits-all phone more impossible.

This might be bad news for those that want the Atrix4G otherwise there’s nothing big here.
