The Droid Incredible delays have been well-documented over the past month. Our report yesterday uncovered that any new Incredible purchases will not be shipped until July 28th. These delays are probably as agitating to you as it is to Verizon.
Today, Verizon is trying to make it right with customers still waiting on a backordered Incredible. To anybody whose order had an original ship date by 6/28, Verizon will be sending you a $25 gift card to mitigate your woes.
“Dear Valued Customer,
Thank you for your recent order of the DROID Incredible by HTC. Due to overwhelming demand for this innovative device, we are currently experiencing inventory delays. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and are working to resolve this issue.
If your order shipping date was June 28 or prior, you may experience an additional delay of up to 7 business days. We will send an update with tracking information once your device has been shipped. If you have already received your device, please disregard this notice.
Your satisfaction is important to us, so we’re also sending you a $25 Verizon Wireless gift card which may be redeemed online or at any Verizon Wireless retail store as a way of saying “thank you” for your patience in this matter. No additional action on your part is required – we will send the gift card to the address you provided with your order in the next two weeks.
If you have further questions regarding your order, please contact Verizon Wireless customer service by dialing *611 from your mobile or calling 800-922-0204 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting 800-922-0204 end_of_the_skype_highlighting.
Regards,
Verizon Wireless Fulfillment”
Other people waiting on the Incredible may receive a gift card as well (the e-mail is not clear on that). Do note, that shipping may be delayed by an additional 7 days for those of you still waiting for the Incredible. Will this $25 gift card appease you long enough until you receive your Incredible? Or will you be looking for another device?
Also, Let us know if you have received this email, and if you could, note your ship date.
