Pretty soon, we won't be able to give you guys those regular updates anymore regarding Verizon's 4G LTE rollout. That's because they are almost done. They recently reported they are 95% complete with their 4G LTE rollout, and in two months they will be 100% complete; Their 4G LTE will cover everywhere their 3G service covers. They just added 6 new markets: Durango, Colorado; Corbin and Madisonville KY; Adrian and Mount Pleasant, Michigan; and Marietta, Ohio.

This brings their total up to 497 LTE markets, and they plan to hit 500 within two months.

Nice... now vzw has even more leverage to continue down the path of high priced plans and locked down devices. They are easily a year or two ahead of their closest competition (At&t). T-mobile (the underdog we are silently pulling for) is at least 3 to 4 years behind and about time they catch up vzw would have rolled out lte advanced to half of their markets. Now would be a good time for another alltel like company.

Yes I do miss Alltel. They were the anti Verizon until they were assimilated

I'm not far outside of Gainesville, FL, and I'm still rocking a 3G signal at my house. Of course the 4G signal is just strong enough to occasionally connect, thereby causing my phone to constantly try to connect and drain my battery faster than normal. So as far as I'm concerned, I'm still in that 5%...

^^^^^^i have the same issue...living on the edge...tried T-Mobile...and don't ya know...no signal here at home..at&t...same thing......

And the 3g signal is less than what it was too.

maybe just maybe t-mobile/metro pcs if they can get some crucial spectrum and tower can become the next alltel.

Sound like you guys need to grab all the carriers and start a game show called "who will be my next carrier" The idea is which ever can provide the best lte signal first with the prize of a new 2 yr contract signed by yourselves.

Lol. Yeah I've already done that..and sadly vzw wins out for best and fastest signal thus far...it sucks too..cause over a year ago, I had awesome 4g..the one day it went to heck...been that way ever since...
