Verizon's new NFL deal, how bad is it for others

Despite the anger and controversy over the NFL players kneeling during the national anthem, the NFL is still King. And they are showing that by still signing deals to allow companies to show their content.

Question is how will this new deal effect non Verizon customers and with the push for carriers to have their own streaming service on deck (att has DirecTV and TMO just started their own partnership) how far are we from having to have one of the carrier's streaming services just to be able to view certain content?

nfl will still be shown in other medias. for example in 2014 nfl extended their directv deal another 8 years and the nfl has their own streaming service. I don't think the verizon deal will cause any problems other than there will be more nfl streaming options available.
