Video won't download to Mac

I recorded several videos and they will not download to my mac. the iphoto does not recognize them, so i have these pointless videos that i need for school. does anyone have any suggestions?

have you tried downloading them to the desktop... on your Mac computer get a program call Flip-For-Mac... this allow you to change/flip a 3gp file movie to Mpeg-4...AVI.. Windows Media and other files... why are you downloading video to iphoto.

The flip for Mac allows you to export the movie while in Quick time player and change its file.
