Video zoom

Does anyone know of an app that can be downloaded to get a "video" zoom feature on the Motorola Droid? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've seen quite a few asking but no answers. I'd suspect that there isn't a solution. Some have suggested it's a hardware limitation but I haven't seen anything to verify or disprove the claim.
