Vista and Reading my SD Card

If I have my SD card in my phone and use the USB cable it only shows a few folders such as saved music, saved pictures, albums DCIM. If I remove the SD card and put it in a reader it shows all the files on the card. Anybody have this or have seen this and any answer to this problem. Thanks Dave Sorry I am running Vista Home Premium.

I do believe that, as related to the threads I've been posting in lately, the . Before file names means they don't show up to the phone unless explicitly asked for. Hidden files on Unix and its variants.

The reason, I presume, that they don't show up when using your phone as the reader is that your phone "doesn't see them" because they're hidden to a Unix variant (like the somewhat linux-y core of Android). The . Hidden file thing doesn't apply under windows, since there is a separate file system attribute that determines visibility.
