Visual effects gone with GB?

Ok I noticed the visual effects are gone when I try to play songs that are on my phone. am I doing something wrong or are they just gone for good?

What kind of visual effects? I haven't really witnessed any on 2.4.330…

For example if you were listening to a song and were on the screen where you could see the album cover and hit play/pause etc. If you tapped the menu key you had the option "visual effects" and now that you mention it I don't have them anymore either I'm on stock GB not rooted
