Vlingo first search fails

I have to use voice search twice with vlingo if I haven't used it in a while. The first search, for example "Call Steve", will go to "thinking" then it will close as if nothing happened. I then immediately do the search again and it works just fine.

Me too. Doesn't matter if I am trying to call, text, or email someone -- whatever it is, it only executes every other time I try.
