Voice Dial

After GB update I see a app on my home screen called Voice Dial. When I press it, it says application not installed on my phone. What is it for?

This is what I am referring too. This appeared after the GB update but says not installed when I press it.

After some reading it seems that this app was with froyo 2.2.1. With the GB update, it removes this app but it leaves the icon. So to the trash it goes.
