Voice guided GPS

It's been a minute since I've had Android, and I thought when I did use it back in 09-10, turn by turn navigation was free.

Now granted, I'm sure there's something free in the market but I'm trying to understand the native apps I already have first.

The VZW Navigator costs now? Does the maps app have some sort of free voice turn by turn navigation? Can someone fill me in on this?

Go into your app tray, look for navigator. Its the blue compass needle. That app does turn by turn for free. Also download Google maps, I use both. Both free. But navigator is a pretty good app.
