As of latest update (to show interiors of malls and airports), voice navigation directions are GONE. Replaced by a bell sound. I went back to earlier version of maps from my app backups, and voice directions are still missing. Apparently voice directions come from google server and not from the app itself. THIS IS A REAL STEP BACKWARDS IN GPS NAVIGATION.
