Voice Texting?

I discovered this a couple weeks ago, when you are composing a text, go to "menu" and "attach" and then choose "record audio." It then brings up a voice recorder and sends whatever you record as an audio text message (for lack of a better term). Its pretty neat and great for driving, my wife has a normal cell phone and can listen to these texts just fine.

Chomp SMS, Handcent SMS and there is a voice-to-text keyboard that will work across all apps none of these work well enough for me though :p if they would use the bluetooth for the voice it might pick up what i said better

I think google voice would work as well.

All of those are great apps to use for now. I think this will be a default feature in future updates. I currently have the 2.1 rom on my phone and this is working in the default messaging application. It works very well actually

I've been lucky to find that my voice works accurately about 95% of the time with the voice search function and with Handcent, unless of course I am trying to say something far out of the ordinary. I had this function years ago on a Samsung phone and although it was cool, it did not work nearly as well as on the Droid apps. I just wish it worked with through Bluetooth- for that matter I wish voice dialing worked through Bluetooth!

Do we have an app for the DROID that will allow you to speak into the phone and have it convert to text for a txt message?

Handcent SMS. Find it in the Marketplace

Thanks for all the feedback guys!

I've been using Handcent since the first day I got the DROID. Where the heck is the voice to text option?
