Voice using up battery

When I check battery manager, I see that voice calls is at 81%. Is this normal? It seems kind of high to me.

Depends. First you need to remember that the "81%" represents the portion of the battery drain since last charge caused by the phone calls. It's not 81% of the battery, it's 81% of the current usage. Basically if you use the phone for nothing but calls, it will be high.
