Voicemail notification on status bar

call and leave a voicemail and then delete the voicemail. sometimes it gets hung up

Call your voicemail, get into the settings. Turn off "message waiting indicator" then turn it back on. That'll work.

I dont even use stock voice mail, i use google voice, yet i have a voicemail notification I cant clear, and i dont apparently have an option to turn off message waiting indicator,even when I try to switch to stock voicemail.

Anybody? Im gonna do a wipe and flash a new rom. Not even Verizon has been able to fix this.

I've had that happen a couple times, but I just call into VM and it tells me I don't have any messages. Then the notification goes away.
