I can't install PDANET from their website, it askes me to log in via Google, then asks me which device and ends up saying "this item not available to your carrier", it doesn't show up on the market either.

If unlimited data is unsustainable then all the DSL providers, clearwire, digis, etc.. are in trouble.

Well, a number of providers HAVE started limiting home broadband. Granted, we are talking 150-250gigs a month, but with people dropping cable and apparently going crazy on torrents it's starting to strain capacity, apparently.

Same argument....Bandwidth is not unlimited. If you're pipes can handle 100gigs per user and people start using 150gigs, you have a problem. And then you either invest to double capacity (and double price) or charge the heavy users more and ration it that way.

I know I don't want to pay more money because they have to invest in infrastructure with people going crazy and using 10-20 times what I do. The heavy users can pay for the additional infrastructure.

To be honest, ISPs don't provide unlimited bandwidth either, and never have. Every ISP has an AUP and every AUP mentions the prohibition of using excessive bandwidth. There is no such thing as unlimited bandwidth. The reason why ISP bandwidth appears "unlimited" (moreso than mobile) is because your bandwidth allotment, is as you mentioned, in the range of 250GB a month, which is a huge amount. But it's not unlimited.

If there was a way for android users to steal service from their ISPs and go over 250GB a month, they'd be whining about comcast, and time warner not providing unlimited bandwidth too

I won't I will ride the grandfathered wave for as long as possible, and tether when I need it. If they want to move me to a tiered plan they will break my contract, and I will skip over to Sprint. :D

The mobile company last to change to tiered data plans are going to end up with all the unauthorized tetherers! LOL!!

haha yeah these guys seem to think that Sprint is going to allow unlimited tethering till the end of time. can't wait for the whiners to whine about Sprint...

We will have to see in the future. Stop being upset that I am doing what I want with my phone, and using it to its fullest extent while paying as little as possible. dancedroid
