Why won't this update? I don't use it, but every time I open the android market it tries to update and fails. So I always have a red triangle on my status bar.it's driving me crazy!

You probably can at least get rid of the red triangle... pull down the status bar and press clear, that may do it

like ziggy said...root it...download root explorer. ..go to system..apps..delete it

If you're gonna do it you might as well get froyo at the same time. Check development section for "Odin eb01 package"... its super easy
