Wachovia Online Banking

I searched within the forums and could not find anything related to Wachovia Online Banking, so I thought I'd post it up for everyone.

In order to access your online banking (without using the browser), you'll have to download the Firethorn Online Banking App (free) and then register it with Wachovia.

Here is the QR code for the App.

Once you have downloaded it, follow the directions below.

1) Log into Wachovia.com via your desktop
2) Go to the Customer Support tab
3) Click on 'Mobile Banking' (under 'Service Center -> Account Services'
4) Add a new device
5) Enter your cell number (not your GV number if you have one) and select 'Verizon'
6) I can't remember what it did after that, but I do remember it was pretty straightforward from there.

Hope this helps some people out!

Edit: Apparently this will not work for new enrollment. Only those users that have had access to this in the past on other phones.

Thanks!

Thanks so much for the info. My daughter just got her phone and she needs to set her banking up for Wachovia.

I was wondering about this.

Am I doing something wrong?

In the Wachovia site, there is no 'Mobile Banking' option under Account Services.

Furthermore, a search of supported institutions does not find Wachovia in the app.

Bummer.

U.S. Bank
Suntrust
Regions
USAA
Citi Mobile for Cards

.. are the featured providers. Not sure what else there is, but not Wachovia :(

Thanks for the info, Ill have to check this out.

Did they make one for TD Bank yet?

Interesting. Maybe it depends on account type? I have basic checking and savings accounts, but I don't have that feature.

It's cool that it works for you, but a blanket statement for all Wachovia users would be misleading for now.

hmm... I have free checking and a way2save savings account... I can't believe that I would get a perk that no other wachovia account holder would have. But if so, sorry! Maybe you could call Wachovia and see if they can do something about it?

It's understandable, you're just trying to spread the wealth (in a non-monetary way) :)

I should ask my local branch about it though, it would be killer to see my accounts immediately.

From Wachovia's website...

"Effective 4/3/2009, we are no longer accepting new enrollments in the mobile banking application. Existing mobile application users can still access the application without interruption in service. Please visit wachovia.com/mobile to access the browser version of Wachovia Mobile using your Internet enabled mobile device."

Not sure about Wachovia, but I just read about a new app form USAA that lets you deposit checks from your phone! Apparently they have had this for iPhone for about 5 months, but just added an Android app last Friday.

I'm sorry but I would not use any 3rd party app for my banking.. If Wachovia doesn't have their own app then best to use it's mobile site...
