Wait for Froyo Root or downgrade to 2.1

Anyone know whether someone is working a 2.2 Root? I'm missing root and the themes that go with it. However, last 10 times I've tried SBFing back to 2.1, I've been unsuccessful. Last ditch effort is try one more wipe/reset and flash. But, is is worth the effort or should I just wait for 2.2 Root?

Which one are you talking about? We have 2.2 now and still have root. You mean official release from Verizon?

For those who lost root, have just a plain jane 2.2, is there a root solution in the works for 2.2?

Oh not sure I just used the instruction same as cromo posted and it worked fine.

If you have not already check there might be some good info. Maybe flash back and root and then try the instructions again.
