Wallpaper changes by itsefl

The first time this happened I thought I was crazy. I can set my wallpaper to a live wallpaper (Water with leaves). If I power my phone completely off and on again it will reset to a custom paper that I have stored on the card. Any ideas?

OK, so are you by chance using Helix Launcher or some other home replacement app? That is what comes to mind first is that it's going back to the stock home screen with the stock wallpaper. Oh, and welcome to the forum, bclipscomb!

I am not running anything custom. Completely stock 2.1. Thanks for the quick reply. It is not a huge problem considering I rarely turn the phone off, just curious.

No, Helix Launcher (free in the Market) is for stock phones (mine is stock) and gives you seven screens, but I notiice sometimes on reboot it has some trouble remembering it's the default. That's why I asked.

This has happened to me also but it does it while I am typing a message on handcent I would like to know how to fix this even though it is not a big deal, I also have the leaf wallpaper and it changes to a photo I set as wallpaper when I was just playing with my phone. My phone also does a couple of other minor odd things is there a way to scan it for errors or is it just overloaded

I'm having the same problem. It only occurs when I'm typing in a widget on one of the homescreens. The two I use regularly are Google search and the Facebook widget to update my status. When I get about 10 characters in, it will change on its own from live wallpaper to the last wallpaper I had set, just like the last user had posted. Any help or ideas on this would be much appreciated!

P.S. I am currently running Bugless Beast 2.1 but this also happened before I rooted my phone on stock 2.1

I am having same issue. It will change from live wallpaper to a picture stored on my phone all by itself. Mine is completely stock with 2.1

mine does same on stock 2.1. Has from the beginning of using live wallpapers. I just gave up and use one of the bland ones.....

sounds like there's no solution...just a crappy live wallpaper interface

Same here and have looked in a few places and still can't find a solution. My stepson has the same problem on his LG Ally so I'd be curious to figure it out.

Since I have installed 2.2 over the last couple of days the live wallpapers seem to hold up just fine. It has definitely been longer than when I had 2.1.
