I was having a problem finding my wallpapers also. I downloaded wicked wallpapers. I ended up having to make a folder in the download folder, and I named it "Wicked wallpaper". Then copied and unzipped all the wallpaper into that folder.
The phone didn't recognize any of them until I restarted it. After rebooting I went back to change the wallpaper and they were all there sitting in the media gallery.
Are you trying to set wallpaper or modify the content of the folder. Most people find them by hitting the menu button from their home screen on a droid two. When you download them, if it says they were installed(msg in notification blind) then they should be there with the rest of your wallpapers. Sorry if that's not what you meant.
