Wallpaper Questions

I have done some searches and see people talking about wallpapers, but no "how to do it" in steps. If I find a pic, I do not see a way to "save as" or "set as background", etc. Not sure if you have to download to a PC, first, then transfer, or what.

If anyone can post a few steps about how to save, correctly size (is there an app?) the pic, where it is stored (unsure what folder the stock ones are in), and how to install and go back to the OEMs, I would appreciated it. Maybe an "app fee" is appropriate! :)

Thanks

Long press on the home screen will bring up a pop up window, pick wallpapers, those are the OEM ones.

You can use any size photo for a wallpaper, however if it's smaller than Droid's resolution it will appear fuzzy. Larger resolutions won't matter because there is the option to crop (orange box) when you select it as a wallpaper.

Easiest way.... save the image you want as a wallpaper to your Droid.... open Gallery, pick the photo you want and then click "set as". Use the orange box to crop the image and voila!

When you find a wallpaper you'd like to use, the easiest thing is to first save it to your SD Card. I typically make a "MEDIA" folder with sub-folders: "MUSIC", "PICS", "RINGTONES" and simply save the wallpaper to my PICS folder. When you do as Martin said (long press homescreen and select pictures), the Droid will scan the SD Card and update the gallery for you to choose your new wallpaper.

The Droid likes images 960x854. This image is 1083x854 so some of it will be cropped but it will not be blurry as a result of doing so. When you go to crop the image, the orange box that you see in the gallery preview can be expanded...so touch and hold one side of it and then pull it back to its maximum size. Hit save and presto - a new F1 wallpaper.

Well, that was embarrassingly uncomplicated. Thanks to you BOTH. I promise not to ask how to tie my shoes. I was looking around the forum and under themes, found at the top of the page--how to set your wallpaper. Oh Well.

And, CDB--Love that wallpaper!

Thanks again.:)
