Waze issues

Started my road trip today. Waze has been very cranky. Keeps saying redirecting and white screen. I've cleared cache and data. Also uninstalled and reinstalled. Google maps didn't have any issues and I had perfect signal, ran a few speed tests. Anyone else having issues? It has worked flawlessly around town for me.

Late to the party, but I still just use Google Maps for navigating and it got us to Kansas and back as well as directing us to different places while we were down there with no problems whatsoever.

Didn't Google buy Waze? I get notifications from Gmaps when there's construction, traffic jams, accidents, etc. and I've kinda assumed that that info comes from Waze users for quite a while, since I heard a long time ago that Google snapped them up.

Good to know, though on those long trips, the most I do is around 5 over specifically because I'm not aware of speedtraps and etc. I might have to give Waze a try next time I travel.

It's not just speedtraps I like about Waze. I rarely go 10 above the speed limit. It's the almost instant updating for slowdowns or user reported accidents, broken down cars, animals in road and even weather.

Well, like I said, there were slowdowns twice in construction zones on our trip and it let me know about how long it could save me if I'd take this detour it suggested. Didn't use it on the way down and regretted it, but we did use it on the way back because the expected time difference was like 45 minutes. Still ended up in a slow patch, but bypassed most of it.
