I have a buddy with a new Droid 3 from work, where they use Gmail to host their business email domain.
When he tries to check email he gets an error saying the SSL cert for the email server is not supported and no email show in his Inbox.
BUT...when he gets a new email a notification icon appears at the top of the screen, and if he presses the notification he can get to and see all his email.
Right now his workaround is to send himself an email to trigger the notification anytime he needs to check his Inbox.
Research showed there is a known issues with Droid 3 and third-party SSL certs, but the workaround to try different email apps (Gmail, K9) gives no joy.
Anyone else seen and defeated this issue?
