Weird text name assignment problem...

Ok, this may be a bit hard to explain but here goes.

My son's name is Nick and is named that way under my contacts with no last name. I have a friend also named Nick in my contacts with a last name of let's say Smith. Nick Smith was one of my Facebook contacts so the DX linked the phone and FB contacts. Fine, no problem.

Well now when my son Nick texts me and the text shows up in the text widget, it shows the contact name as Nick Smith instead of my son Nick even though the text came from my son. When I go right to the text message (not thru the widget) it says it came from my son Nick like it should.

Any ideas on this???

That is definitely a curious problem.

I do not have my X yet, but if I run into that when I sync it up today I will post back here and let you know what I find out.

it merged the contacts. go into your gmail

and then click contacts and you can manage it from there.
