welcome screen freezing

so i just got this phone yesterday, needed an update so i did now it keeps freezing at the welcome screen with :greendroid:'s any suggestions?

What update was this? Have you tried taking the battery out and putting it back in? Did you root the device and/or flash a custom ROM perhaps?

Some more information would be helpful, thanks
