Well I should have kept the back plastic on...

Took it off because everyone said that it was meant to be taken off...and now my keyboard comes out of it's lock position is I barely move it. Plus, the bottom part wiggles a little bit while locked in place.
Looks like it's time to buy one of those customizable back things...
It is supposed to be taken off, it is protective skin for shipping. Yes it could change the spacing but if you don't take it off, it would eventually peel off, possibly jamming the slider. I have had no problems after removing it, though admittedly I rarely use the keyboard. If your slider is that loose, I would not be surprised if a new sticker made no difference.
I took mine off and use mine all the time! Yes it comes out of the locked position eaiser, its designed to, it is not supposed to be hard to push open. It slides on rollers. Leaving the plastic on and using it will just make the possibility of a loose, wiggly, clickaty keyboard that much more prvelant WHEN it starts to peel or gets jammed up.
You are just so used to it being so stiff and hard to push open (it's supposed to be smooth remember) that now when it is operating like it was designed to do you feel it is "loose"!
