After having to shovel out from a foot of snow I went to the traing class. I could of just stayed home.

Thanks to reading this board I knew more than anyone there, including the "trainer". OK, I did learn how to C&P and how to delete one call at a time of off the call log.

It was nice of Verizon to offer this class and maybe if I went to an earlier one it would of been more helpful but I've had my droid for 2 1/2 weeks now and having been reading this board for the past week I learned more here.

So Thanks everyone for all the info and I'm sure I'm going to be learning a lot more over time.

So, I guess you work for Verizon? I didn't know they offer classes for smartphones!

My wife got a email about them offering a class here in Madison, WI. And we do not work for verizon.

Verizon would be better served by getting some better training for their techs. I would bet that any random selection of us would out-smart most Verizon counter jockies on the Droid.

No, I don't work for Verizon....

They offered the free class when I bought the phone. I figured I'd take advantage of it as I had never had a smart phone.

That's frequently suggested but not very feasible. You have to keep in mind Verizon has a lot of phones. They can't be experts on all of them. That's why we need this forum, to share information with each other.

I'd take the class if I had the chance. :)

I admire your tenacity. Shovel yourself out of a foot of snow to attend a Droid training and you don't even work there. :)

Sooooo how do you delete from the call log and C&P?!? Don't make me take a trip up Rt 1!!!

No kidding? It was open to the public? That's pretty damn cool if so.

'Twas funny--on release day my Verizon store had a 3 to 1 ratio of salespeople to customers. Each one was ready to tell me how to work the phone but were kind of disappointed after I was navigating through everything by myself. LOL

In the call log, long press on the call you want delete, and you'll have the option to delete it.

For C&P go to the keyboard, press the menu button (the one with the lines), then press E, run your finger over what you want to "copy" it will highlight it. Then back out of that screen and go to wherever you want to paste it, such as email and do a hard press on the screen to paste it.

For the call log, just hard press the call you want to delete and a menu window will pop up asking if you want to delete.

There were some people there that truely needed the class. They had lots of questions about just the basics of using the phone.

I did give out this websites address to a couple of people and told them they would learn a lot more by reading the posts on here.
