What do you have your brightness set at and how many hours are you getting?

5 hours? How long have you had the phone? I understand, or hope at least, that there is a calibration stage and the phone will get much better battery life in a week or 2.

Brightness at 40% and getting 9:30, 4g and wifi about 50/50, and and moderate to heavy use. I am using battery left to monitor it and it is 88/100 calibrated.

what does brightness has to do with how long battery lasts? you can have max brightness and not use your phone and it'll last you whole day or have it on minimum playing games and burn through it in 4-5 hours.

if you want to find out how brightness effects battery drain you need to have two controlled tests where usage is identical the only variable is brightness. fully charge and leave it alone with screen on on lowest and highest brightness till battery is dead to find out your effect.

I find that the screen takes the vast majority of my battery.

My phone also gets pretty hot on the top back.

Anyone else?

There's an app called Screen Filter in the Market that works awesome on the Nexus - I would put it in my top twenty easily

45% brightness did 10hr 53mins today with 8% left before charge.

I run lowest brightness setting, screen is easy to read. 4g * wifi. Average use, not a game player but moderate internet, lots of phone. After 13 hr 53 minutes I'm down to 19%
