What is the best way to view a Droid video on Windows XP?

I just uploaded some Droid videos to my PC (running windows XP SP3 with the latest Windows Media Player). Neither Windows Media Player nor Quicktime know how to read the .3gp files that store the video.

What is the best way to view these video files on my PC? Or should I convert them to another format? (If so, which ones and how?)

30 seconds with Google.com revealed this:

But which of these methods are the best? I tried quicktime and it didn't work for me. I would like to hear what other droid users have actually found to work on XP.

VLC is something that should be in windows, rather than media player. it can play just about any video file. Go with that. Its free, and uninstalls properly in case you dont like it, unlike most of the other software mentioned in the previous post :)
