What is the latest and greatest?

I'm having a little trouble keeping these releases straight in my head. I see GimpSource 3.1, GimpedOUTMOD 2.3.1, and GimpedMOD. I've already bootlooped when trying to flash a theme b/c I think I used the wrong one for the ROM I was on.

Can someone please fill me in on the hierarchy of the GimpSource ROMs?

I really like these ROMSs, but I feel like the names/numbers are all over the place.... of course that could just be me and my insane need to have things like release numbers and directories structured perfectly.

GimpedOUTMod is the gingerbread rom based off of Pete's GPA builds.

The most recent GimpSource is Davros' FRG83D rom.

GimpedMod is currently on FRG83G and has less to it than gimpsource ... its very close to stock but has a few tweaks.

* GimpedOUTMOD 2.3.1 = my modded version of Pete's GPA(12) GingerBread stock rom

* GimpM0d FRG83G = modded version of TBH and Pete FRG83G leak

i'm working on an AOSP build of FRG83G right now and a GingerBread build also.


i'll see if i can clean it up a bit too

Good explanation,

GimpSource was Davros' exploration into creating his own AOSP ROM (Hence source).

GimpMOD is more of another ROM (or vzw update, aka how MetiCkMod was) zipaligned and junk removed.

GimpedOutM0D is his newest crazy GingerBread ROM based off Pete's GB ROM.
